Hello. I’m Michael Ritacco.
I build enterprise shared services using Oracle and Microsoft database technologies for a living.
While my service platforms are designed for the energy trading business, I have found that many of the challenges encountered delivering platforms-as-a-service inside the enterprise are shared across technologies, environments, and industries. It’s not easy to deliver platforms as a service, but a hell of a lot of fun.
This site is my way to give back to all those who have helped me along the way.
ABOUT THIS SITE
This site is the work of a small group of volunteers and countless visitors who have never met, but share a common vision. A vision where a community of seasoned Database Professionals can gather and share their experiences with one another.
HISTORY
This site was founded in 1999 as Oraclenotes.com, and focused primarily on sharing my study notes for the Oracle 8, 8i, and 9i certification exams. As my experience grew to include more database technologies, I decided a more generic domain was needed and dbanotes.com was born.
I hope you enjoy dbanotes.com and decide to join the community by sharing your insight.
